Why Do I Need Salvation?
a) Sin entered into the world (Romans 5:12)
b) Death came through sin and was passed upon all men (Romans 5:12)
c) If Jesus didn’t bring salvation, you would end up dying the second death in the lake
which burns with fire and brimstone (Romans 5:15-19; Revelation 20:12-15)
How Do I Receive Salvation?
It is as easy as A-B-C
a) Repent of your sins
b) Get baptized in Jesus’ name
c) Receive the Baptism Of The Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues as the
spirit of God gives utterance
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
(Acts 2:38)
Repentance
a) Repentance is not only feeling sorrow for something that you’ve done, but it is the
turning away from sin and the dedication of yourself to the changing for the better by
surrendering your will to God. You are now taking His yoke upon yourself and learning
of Him. The best example of someone repenting is David in Psalms 51
b) Repentance was the first message preached by John the Baptist
c) It was the first message Jesus preached
d) Finally, it was the first thing Peter preached when he opened the doors of the Church
Water Baptism
a) It is necessary for salvation (John 3:5)
b) It must be done by immersion and is is recognized as a burial with Christ(Acts 8:38, 39;
Romans 6:3.4)
c) It is to be done in the name Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38;
Colossians 3:17)
Receiving The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit
a) This is a gift from God
b) The Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ who has come to live in you (John 14:16-18)
c) Without this wonderful gift you do not belong to Him (Romans 8:9)
d) The initial evidence of you receiving this gift is speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46)
